SCMA represents 7,500 members as well as the wider profession working in roles that cover sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, and contract management. The organization was formed through the amalgamation of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) and Supply Chain & Logistics Association Canada (SCL). Education and accreditation programs are developed by the SCMA National Secretariat and delivered through the Institutes. SCMA awards the Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation under the authorization of provincial legislation, and is responsible for standards-setting, accreditation and the continuing professional development of its members. SCMA sets the standards for excellence and ethics, and is the principal source of professional development and accreditation in supply chain management in Canada.

As a full service professional association, SCMA delivers the most extensive range of leadership and skills development programs and educational offerings available, including the CSCMP program. CSCMP Certification Program

  • Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP): The accreditation program leading to the Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) is competency-based and participatory in nature with a focus on analysis, teamwork and decision-making. In order to earn the Certified SCMP Designation, you must be admitted to the program, be an SCMA member, and successfully complete all of the following elements:

  • Practical Experience Requirement: A minimum of three years of progressive experience in any aspect of supply chain management

  • Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management: The diploma program provides intermediate-level procurement professionals with the skills and knowledge required to advance their careers.
