The University is located in Hatfield, in the county of Hertfordshire, UK and has more than 24,500 students, over 2500 staff, over 2000 international students and a global network of over 160,000 alumni.

Students can choose from undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses arranged under fifteen schools of study at the University of Hertfordshire. Industry professionals teach on the programs and visiting lecturers provide valuable input. This keeps the programs up to date with industry developments, making the content fresh and forward looking. In the 2008 RAE, over 85 per cent of the submitted research was judged to be of international quality in terms of originality, significance and rigor. It was declared the Entrepreneurial University of the Year, 2010 by Times Higher Education.

Academic Programs


Masters Programs

  • MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management (1 year full-time, 2 years part-time: This master’s programme was introduced in response to the growing importance of professionally-managed purchasing and supply chains, as well as recognising the strategic value of skilled operations managers. This course is accredited for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
  • MSc in Operations and Supply Chain Management: (Online -3 years): This course develops skills and knowledge and specifically focuses on the areas of business related to procurement & supply chain management in an operational management context.
  • MSc Entry Requirements: An honours degree (at least 2:2 or above) in an engineering discipline or an appropriate science or any other related discipline. International qualifications will be considered on the basis of their equivalence to UK qualifications. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a suitable level of proficiency in written and spoken English. An IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent).

CIPS Programs

  • CIPS L4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply: This is a level 4 qualification consisting of 5 compulsory units; the course is a rolling program and units can be studied in any order. These are open to anyone studying the CIPS Diploma and preparing for an examination. Revision days may be especially useful to those studying independently. The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is the worldwide centre of excellence for procurement and supply management. Throughout the world CIPS qualifications are recognized as driving leading edge thinking and professionalism in procurement.
