East Riding College (ERC) is a further education college located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, UK. ERC was formed in March 2002, by the merger of Beverley College and East Yorkshire College, Bridlington. East Riding College admits more than 1,500 full-time students every year, with thousands more taking part-time and higher education courses. The College also has a growing employer engagement section which provides training for businesses across the UK.

The main campuses are in historic market town of Beverley and the popular coastal resort of Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, with a smaller site in Hull. The St Mary's Walk campus is set in a residential neighborhood about one mile from the center of Bridlington. The campus has 44 teaching rooms, from top-of-the-range classrooms with the latest in teaching technology to commercial areas like marine vocational programs.

East Riding College was given LSIS Beacon Status in 2011, Only a handful of colleges are awarded this highly respected accolade annually. In order to qualify for Beacon status, leadership and management must be graded by Ofsted as "outstanding" and inspection reports should have no grades less than "good" in all other areas inspected.

Training Programs

Marine Programs

  • Level 2 City & Guilds Certificate in Marine Systems Engineering and Maintenance (36 weeks - full time, part time): This course is aimed at those who would like to progress into the marine industry, this course is designed as an intermediate qualification that will allow progression from a level one qualification but is also suitable for employed people with practical skills but no formal qualifications. Study include: The introduction to the marine industry, Marine engineering processes and principles, Service and maintenance of marine engines & Service and maintenance of marine propulsion units.
  • Entry Requirements: A relevant level one qualification, Practical skills gained in employment & A satisfactory interview and an initial assessment.

Warehousing Programs

  • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (12 months, part-time): This qualification aims to demonstrate the skills and competencies of individuals in a warehousing and storage environment. It is suitable for operatives and managers working within a warehousing and storage environment undertaking routine tasks associated with the industry.
  • Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements however individuals must be working within the warehousing and storage environment.
