Logistics and Supply Chain Management Education at Aarhus School of Business (ASB)

Founded in 1928, Aarhus University (Aarhus Universitet - AU) is one of the oldest and largest university in Denmark. The university if located in Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. Aarhus is a port city with the port of Aarhus situated on the east side of the peninsula of Jutland. Aarhus University merged with Herning Institute of Business Administration and Technology, National Environmental Research Institute, Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Aarhus School of Business and the Danish University of Education not long ago and together has over 30,000 students studying at all levels.

Academic Programs

Masters Programs

  • MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (2 years): The MSc program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management aims to provide the students with the theoretical knowledge and technical qualifications for developing logistics business solutions facilitating the international trade of a company. More specifically, students will learn to identify supply chain management problems and thereupon decide which analytical methods, models and tools should be applied to solve these problems. In the first year, MSc students follow compulsory courses. The Logistics program consists of a mixture of courses with a clear logistics focus and courses with a more hands-on (computer based) approach. Second year students can choose between several options to individualize and further specialize their studies, tailoring them towards their job aspirations. The options include electives at ASB or other Danish universities, taking courses at summer universities, internship or studying abroad for an entire semester. In the fourth semester, students write their MSc thesis and here they get a chance to focus on a topic in which they are particularly interested.

  • Entry Requirements: The general entry criterion is a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or the equivalent. Also, students should preferably have basic skills and an interest in mathematics and IT. All applicants must document their English proficiency. This is done by submitting an English language test. The following English Tests are acknowledged at Aarhus School of Business - TOEFL test with a score of at least 90 (internet based) or 575 (paper-based); IELTS test with a score of at least 6.5.
  • AARHUS-ASB Scholarships: Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences and a range of companies/organizations offer scholarships to particularly competent master students, who are about to start or have already started their master thesis. The scholarship amounts to DKK 30,000.
