The School of Business Administration at Portland State is the largest and most diverse business school in Oregon and also in Northwest, with nearly 3000 undergraduates and 475 graduates studying business.

It was ranked 22nd in the world and 15th in the US by Beyond Grey Pinstripes for its emphasis on social and environmental stewardship within the MBA curriculum. The location of the school puts Portland's business community in its backyard, resulting in better career networking, more internships and richer real world classroom experiences.

Undergraduate Program

• Bachelor's Degree in Business - Supply & Logistics Management (Campus or 100% online): From product development to sourcing raw materials to delivery, the graduates are prepared to innovate beyond the factory floor. In the global enterprise you must be able to anticipate demands, drive product design, and bring products to market using innovative supply chain practices. The students are taught supply chain management from the edges of traditional supply chain models so you understand the complex interdependencies and the extended enterprises that are part of producing a product or service. From business forecasting to project management, students in the ISM-certified program will gain a comprehensive understanding of the enterprise, and be prepared to seek innovative solutions to solve any business problem.. Portland State's undergraduate Supply Chain Management program is certified by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), one of 13 approved programs in the nation.

Graduate Programs

• MS in Global Supply Chain Management (Campus or 100% online): Co-developed with industry leaders, the MS in Global Supply Chain Management (MSGSCM) fuses a rigorous core curriculum with real-world case studies, exploration of trending topics and leading-edge sustainable business practices, and international field studies to South America or Asia. Curriculum includes - Sourcing and Purchasing/Procurement, Global Trade and Logistics, Data Analysis and Visualization, Closed Loop Supply Chain/Sustainability/Circular Economy, and Forecasting and Planning. This program is accredited by Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) and certified by Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
• Graduate Certificate in Global Supply Chain Management: Portland State's master-level certificate is designed for current MBA and Master of International Management students to expand upon their business knowledge; the certificate is also an excellent stand-alone credential for those currently working in supply chain.

Executive Education

• Sustainable Supply Chain Management Certificate Program: With a relevant, practical curriculum and hands-on exercises, CEPE’s Sustainable Supply Chain Management Certificate program will help participants expand their knowledge base and build marketable skills in this dynamic field. All of the courses in this program are taught by experienced, industry professionals.

The Princeton Review’s "The Best 376 Colleges: 2012 Edition" named Portland State University as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education. The Princeton Review selects approximately 15% of the universities in the nation to highly recommend to college applicants and their parents. In their opinion, “these are the crème of the crop institutions for undergraduates in America.” Also Portland State University was ranked 26th out of 167 universities in the fourth survey of Coolest Schools by Sierra, the award-winning magazine of the Sierra Club. The rankings rate American colleges and universities according to their environment practices, green initiatives, and caliber of sustainability-oriented educations.

• Internship Program and Cooperative Education: The Internship Program matches student’s educational goals with local business need to provide students with practical business experience that reinforces their academic training and provides opportunities to gain early access into their chosen career. Internships can involve a wide range of business activities, such as updating business plans, developing marketing plans, and designing user-friendly accounting and information systems. Students may earn academic credit for their internships and typically also receive financial compensation.

• Green Business School:Portland State University is one of 16 graduate schools of business chosen by The Princeton Review for its list, "Business Schools Best for 'Green Business' Education." Other schools selected include Stanford, Columbia, and Duke.
• Career Development Workshops: These workshops are designed to provide students with basic and essential job search skills and career development advice. Topics include: Resume Review and Cover Letters, Business Etiquette, Networking Skills, Interview Skills and Dress for Success.
