Transport and Logistic International Education in Singapore
German Institute of Science and Technology - TUM Asia (TUM Asia) commenced operations in Singapore in 2002 as an affiliate of the Technische Universität München (TUM). As the first German academic venture abroad TUM Asia is supported by the Singapore Government through the Economic Development Board (EDB), and by the German Government through the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Through its groundbreaking collaboration with Singapore's two leading universities, TUM, Germany has pioneered globalization of German universities with the presence of TUM Asia in partnership with National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
TUM Asia is active in the management of postgraduate education, executive training and contract research. Through joint programs with NUS and NTU, TUM Asia bridges academic education, industry and research to qualify young professionals for technology oriented leadership roles in a competitive global economy. - MSc in Transport & Logistics: The Master of Science Program in Transport and Logistic (TL) of Technische Universität München (TUM) will provide graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully master the challenges faced in the area of transportation and logistics. The students will learn how to analyze and assess the various traffic scenarios of the different transport modes and how to find appropriate solutions. Students will learn how to design and operate modern transport systems including integrated inter-modal management systems. The students who will enroll in this program will learn how to design and operate modern transport and logistics systems and, thus will become professionals in the dynamically growing market of transport and logistics.
- Admission Requirement: Applications are open to candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree or European / German FH Diploma with at least grade C according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) or its equivalent in any of the following areas (but not limited): Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geodetics, Mechanical Engineering, Geography, Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Tourisms. If English is not your native language, nor the official language of tuition of your previous course of study, a TOEFL, an IELTS or the University of Cambridge ESOL examination is required for non-native English speaking applicants English Language Skills.
