Successfully completing the program opens the door to official maritime recognition. Graduates of the platform's rigorous training and evaluation process are awarded a Certificate of Completion from Cook's Ticket. With this certificate in hand, ship's cooks are then equipped to apply separately to the Danish Maritime Authority to obtain an official Danish ship's cook certificate.

Cook's Ticket Program
Program Details

- Validity: 5 years; renewal requires no new exam

- Practical Video Assessment: Before the theoretical exam, candidates submit a practical video assessment reviewed and approved by a certified Danish examiner.
- Remote Proctored Theoretical Exam: GDPR-compliant, ISO 27001 certified proctoring. Each session is overseen by an examiner, supported by AI-assisted remote proctoring. Fully compliant with Danish regulatory requirements.
- Acceptance: The certificate is the official Recognition Certificate (Ship's Cook), issued by the Danish Maritime Authority under Danish rules implementing MLC 2006, Standard A3.2. It is verifiable online at verify.dma.dk. Written confirmation has been obtained from the Bahamas (Order 1305), Cayman Islands (case-by-case recognition, where an assessment from a Danish-approved provider carries weight), Singapore (accepts ship's cook certificates issued by MLC 2006 states) and, UK MCA and Hong Kong (confirmation for this specific certificate in progress). Two Stage Certification

Program Requirements
Track 1 - IMO White List Countries
- A valid civil cook's certificate or recognized apprenticeship diploma
- A valid STCW Basic Training certificate
- A current maritime medical fitness certificate
- Documented sea service: A minimum of 5 months
Track 2 - Non-IMO White List Countries
- A valid STCW Basic Training certificate
- A current maritime medical fitness certificate
- Documented apprenticeship: 48 months in total, including a minimum of 24 months served at sea
- Note: Home country cook's certificates are not accepted; eligibility is based strictly on documented practical experience.
