Established in 1931, Sail Canada (formerly known as the Canadian Yachting Association) is the national governing body for the sport of sailing. The Association promotes sailing in all its forms including yachting through collaboration with the partners, the Provincial Sailing Associations, member clubs, schools, and many individual stakeholders. Sail Canada programs offer safer, learning environments for any age and ability. Sail Canada is a Member National Authority of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) representing Canada.

Sail Canada programs are widely popular in Canada. The different levels of programs include - Get Sailing Programs are introductory programs for all ages and provide training in dinghy or keelboat sailing to start cruising or safely operating a powerboat. Develop Skills Programs will develop your skills to Start racing, explore new places, become an instructor, and become an official and more. Advance Skills Programs will refine your skills, develop expertise and advance to new levels and, this will train you to be a coach, advance as an official or sail offshore.
