Logistics and Transport Management Education at bfi Vienna
The University of Applied Sciences bfi Vienna is one of the leading Universities of Applied Sciences in Austria. The University of Applied Sciences (FH) BFI Vienna non-profit educational institution is a wholly owned affiliate company of BFI Vienna.
Offering degree programs since 1996, University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna is an officially recognized university in Austria. It offers academic-based and practice-oriented education including Bachelor / Master and MBA degrees. The bfi Vienna (Berufsförderungsinstitut Wien / Vocational Training Institute Vienna) is the sole shareholder of the FH BFI Vienna. For more than forty years, the BFI Vienna has been actively promoting education and further education programs which help turn students into highly qualified skilled employees who can rest sure of their positions in business.
With two awards, the ECTS Label and the Diploma Supplement Label, which were awarded again in 2009, the FH BFI Vienna reaffirms its quality leadership in Austria. - BA in Business (Logistics and Transport Management) - 6 semesters, Full-time and Part-time: The graduates of this program can coordinate internal and cross-plant supply and logistics chains; draw up and realize logistic and transport systems; calculate logistic, transport and traffic services for national and international calls for bids; carry out stock and inventory measures; evaluate and carry out cooperation options like partnerships and alliances; assess the legal aspects of transport, traffic and logistic activities; and carry out international business location or regional planning projects. Special fields in 5th and 6th semesters include Logistics and Supply Chain Management or, Transport and Traffic.
- MA in Business (Logistics and Transport Management) - 3 semesters, Part-time: The graduates of this program can build and implement internal and cross-plant supply and logistics chains; draw up and realize logistic and transport systems; calculate logistic, transport and traffic services for national and international calls for bids; draw up stock and inventory management projects measures; draw up business location and regional planning projects; assess the sustainable nature of logistic processes and realize corresponding change plans evaluate and carry out cooperation options like partnerships and alliances; run R&D projects in logistics and transport management; and advise enterprises and politicians in charge in logistics, transport and traffic matters.
BFI VIENNA Admissions
- BA Program: School-leaving exams (Austrian and foreign equivalent), completed secondary vocational school, or apprenticeship (additional exams in German, English and mathematics required)
- MA Program: Completion of a law / social / Engineering studies / business /geography / industrial logistics degree (in Austria or equivalent degree abroad; proven qualifications in logistics, transport, traffic (4 ECTS), business administration (10 ECTS), law studies (4 ECTS), IT (4 ECTS), English (8 ECTS, native speakers are exempt)
