Seafish & STCW Courses
- Seafish Basic First Aid: Seafish Basic First Aid is a one-day course that teaches the principles of first aid for seafarers. The course is approved by Seafish and the MCA, and the certificate is valid for both the Merchant Navy and the commercial fishing
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques: The course is designed for seafarers to prepare them for emergency situations at sea. As part of STCW, this course provides essential skills and knowledge for effective survival in marine environments.
- Seafish Basic Sea Survival: This comprehensive course equips participants with fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to ensure their safety in emergency situations at sea.
- Seafish Basic One Day Fire Fighting and Prevention: This one-day course forms part of the mandatory Basic Safety Training for all fishermen and provides fishermen with the knowledge and skills required to be able to fight fires at sea.
- Seafish Safety Awareness and Accident Prevention: This course is mandatory for all experienced fishermen with a minimum of six months fishing experience, and covers aspects of how accidents happen, with guidelines on how to prevent them and how to minimise damage and injury when they do happen.
- Seafish New Entrants Health and Safety: This course aims to provide new entrants to the industry with the knowledge and skills they require to work safely on fishing vessels.
