Captains License Programs

  • Limited OUPV/Six-Pack Captain's License: Limited OUPV Description: Operate uninspected passenger vessels/launch (OUPV) carrying no more than six (6) passengers in a limited geographic area, taught in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI
  • OUPV/Six-Pack Captain's License: The OUPV Captains Class / Six-Pack is the most popular of the captain's license courses and is required for those who wish to operate fishing charters, run a dive boat, or offer sightseeing tours. In person classes in Duluth and Superior.
  • Licensed Master: The Master's License allows you to operate Inspected Passenger Vessels. Ferry boats, harbor tour boats, sailing schooners, and whale watching boats are all examples of inspected vessels. 
  • Upgrade to Master Captain's License from OUPV: Tailored for those who already hold an OUPV (Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels) license, this advanced training offers comprehensive insights, practical skills, and USCG recognized certification.
