Founded in 1961, The University of Texas at Dallas is one of nine universities and six health institutions governed by The University of Texas. UT Dallas consists of seven schools, each headed by a dean: Arts and Humanities, Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science, Economics, Political and Policy Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Management, and Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

The schools, in turn, consist of teaching and research programs that provide the disciplinary foundations of the University. In addition to the usual disciplinary approaches, the University has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary study at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Most faculty members teach in both graduate and undergraduate areas so that the character of their instruction is informed by critical examination of the most recent developments in their fields.

The University of Texas at Dallas School of Management is the largest of UT Dallas' seven schools, with a spring 2011 enrollment of more than 5,400, more than half of whom were graduate students. The school provides outstanding tuition value, a wide variety of classes on campus and online, flexible scheduling. The School of Management keeps abreast of corporate and industry needs as an essential component in providing students with rigorous training and relevant skills for professional success. Undergraduate Program

  • BS Supply Chain Management: in The Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management (BS SCM) at the Jindal School of Management is a 120 semester credit hours STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) degree program that is designed for students seeking to focus their business education by developing a working expertise and knowledge in the different elements of the supply chain. Upon completing the BS Supply Chain Management program, students have gained the knowledge, skills and applied research experience needed to help their your future employers maximize efficiency and profitability.

Graduate Programs

  • MS in in Supply Chain Management: The Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS SCM) degree program teaches design and management of industrial supply chains, including how to improve operations and how to resolve key issues. SCM graduates use their analytical decision-making skills and advanced knowledge to address supply chain concerns that arise as operations become increasingly more sophisticated. The program’s ultimate objective is to empower graduates to use SCM to transform business operations into competitive tools in the global economy. Students may earn the master’s degree by completing the 15 hours of core courses plus 16 business core courses and an international study trip.
  • MBA with Concentration in Supply Chain Management: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Naveen Jindal School of Management is a unique and exciting opportunity in the field of business management. The SCM concentration covers critical areas for companies around the world, including operations management, strategic purchasing, sourcing and contract management, and logistics, distribution and warehousing.
  • Supply Chain Certificate: The graduate students currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS SCM) degree program at UT Dallas have the opportunity to participate and receive the SAS Data Mining and Business Intelligence graduate certificate. This certificate emphasizes theoretical concepts and clinical knowledge associated with the design, delivery and use of business intelligence and data mining techniques in organizations.

  • Internship/Cooperative Education: The UT Dallas Career Center Internship Program provides students with the information and tools necessary to successfully navigate the internship process, from orientation to the program itself to evaluation at the end of the semester. Internship program staff members provide information about eligibility, preparation, and academic credit options, and assistance with the internship search. Students can also get information about the possibility of completing an internship at their current place of full-time employment.
  • Student Housing: Student housing offers several affordable living choices on campus for those who appreciate the advantage of being able to walk from their residence to class. All housing is reserved for UT Dallas students and offers a variety of floor plans and prices.
