The University of Texas at Dallas is one of nine universities and six health institutions governed by The University of Texas. UT Dallas consists of seven schools, each headed by a dean: Arts and Humanities, Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science, Economics, Political and Policy Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Management, and Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

The schools, in turn, consist of teaching and research programs that provide the disciplinary foundations of the University. In addition to the usual disciplinary approaches, the University has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary study at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Most faculty members teach in both graduate and undergraduate areas so that the character of their instruction is informed by critical examination of the most recent developments in their fields.

The University of Texas at Dallas School of Management is the largest of UT Dallas' seven schools, with a spring 2011 enrollment of more than 5,400, more than half of whom were graduate students. The school provides outstanding tuition value, a wide variety of classes on campus and online, flexible scheduling. The School of Management keeps abreast of corporate and industry needs as an essential component in providing students with rigorous training and relevant skills for professional success. Programs are offered at the undergraduate, MBA, master's, PhD and executive levels.

  • BS Supply Chain Management: in The Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management (BS SCM) at the Jindal School of Management is a 120 semester credit hours STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) degree program that is designed for students seeking to focus their business education by developing a working expertise and knowledge in the different elements of the supply chain. Upon completing the BS Supply Chain Management program, students have gained the knowledge, skills and applied research experience needed to help their your future employers maximize efficiency and profitability.

Graduate Programs

  • MS in in Supply Chain Management: The Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS SCM) degree program teaches design and management of industrial supply chains, including how to improve operations and how to resolve key issues. SCM graduates use their analytical decision-making skills and advanced knowledge to address supply chain concerns that arise as operations become increasingly more sophisticated. The program’s ultimate objective is to empower graduates to use SCM to transform business operations into competitive tools in the global economy. Students may earn the master’s degree by completing the 15 hours of core courses plus 16 business core courses and an international study trip.
  • MBA with Concentration in Supply Chain Management: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Naveen Jindal School of Management is a unique and exciting opportunity in the field of business management. The SCM concentration covers critical areas for companies around the world, including operations management, strategic purchasing, sourcing and contract management, and logistics, distribution and warehousing.
  • Supply Chain Certificate: The graduate students currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS SCM) degree program at UT Dallas have the opportunity to participate and receive the SAS Data Mining and Business Intelligence graduate certificate. This certificate emphasizes theoretical concepts and clinical knowledge associated with the design, delivery and use of business intelligence and data mining techniques in organizations.

The University's ability to attract and retain these students has propelled The University of Texas at Dallas into national prominence within a few short years. US News and World Report ranks UT Dallas as one of the three best public universities in the state along with UT Austin and Texas A&M. Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine, in its October 2006 article "100 Best Values in Public Colleges", ranked UT Dallas 66th among all public universities nationally. The quality of the students who attend UT Dallas has remained consistently high. Over forty percent of the incoming freshmen are in the top 10% of their high school graduating class and their average SAT scores place them in the top twenty percent of all college-bound students. In recent years, UT Dallas has ranked among the top 100 American universities in terms of the number of National Merit Scholars enrolled.

  • Accreditation: The University of Texas at Dallas is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate through doctoral degrees. The School of Management is accredited by AACSB International.
  • SOM Ranking: US News & World Report ranks the school's Full-Time MBA at No. 40 in the nation and tied for No. 17 among public university programs in the United States. In the same ranking, the publication places the Professional (Part-Time) MBA at No. 36 in the nation and tied for No. 20 among public university programs in the US Financial Times has ranked the Executive MBA program No. 22 among US based programs.
  • Foreign Study Trips: The school has administered 20 trips to 13 diverse countries during the last 15 years. OISE and FST trips are charged with ensuring that all participating students realize their potential as global leaders through exposure to international academics, research, and cultural engagement. These trips will help students develop awareness and realize the importance and benefits of a global perspective by participating in cultural activities, seminars delivered by international corporations and universities, and complementary campus activities.
  • Semester Abroad: UT Dallas has exchange agreements with some of the best schools in the world and when you go overseas, taking classes at these premier institutions will enable you to learn different perspectives from different cultures. Participating in an exchange program will allow you to enhance your foreign language and intercultural skills, as well as establish friendships with local students and other exchange students from around the world.
  • The Center for Intelligent Supply Networks (C4iSN): The Center for Intelligent Supply Networks combines research by renowned faculty members, the work of bright student minds and the supply chain challenges of regional companies to produce groundbreaking solutions. The Center also offers continuous education in product lifecycle management, supply chain management, sourcing management and Lean Six Sigma through professional certificate programs
  • Internship/Cooperative Education: The UT Dallas Career Center Internship Program provides students with the information and tools necessary to successfully navigate the internship process, from orientation to the program itself to evaluation at the end of the semester. Internship program staff members provide information about eligibility, preparation, and academic credit options, and assistance with the internship search. Students can also get information about the possibility of completing an internship at their current place of full-time employment.
  • Student Housing: Student housing offers several affordable living choices on campus for those who appreciate the advantage of being able to walk from their residence to class. All housing is reserved for UT Dallas students and offers a variety of floor plans and prices.
