Established in 2001 and located at Isla of Man, EMCS (Originally Erin Marine Consultancy Services) is a Marine Consultancy helps train and deploy highly skilled, efficient, cost-effective and properly supervised Riding Teams for the marine industry.

EMCS also provides onshore Shipyard Services to include docking, ship repair and workshop support. EMCS International Limited (EMCS) core business is the supply of skilled labour for ship repair and conversion (either within the shipyard or afloat repairs for vessel managers/owners).

EMCS can provide all trades related to marine repairs (i.e. Coded Welders, Platers, Pipefitters, Engine Fitters, Electricians, Cleaner/Painters, Riggers, Scaffolders, etc.) as well as Class Approved Ultrasonic Thickness Testers and teams to carry out rope access painting of ballast tanks.

Training Programs

Superintendents Course (9 days)

  • This unique and intensive 9 day course is endorsed by DNV-GL and is held twice a year at the Isle of Man. Approved by IMarEST and the Nautical Institute, it is supported by the Isle of Man Ship Registry and a number of local ship management companies. Following a successful assessment, certificated endorsed by DNV-GL and IMarESTare awarded to candidates who can also claim 68 CPD points. The training is an excellent foundation in all aspects of ship operations and in recognition of this; the program was included by Lloyds List London as one of the best training program of its kind.
  • This course provides all the knowledge, tools, skills and insight to make the transition for the ship to shore-based employment. Designed for newly appointed superintends, or senior sea staff looking to come ashore; it provides an excellent foundation in all aspects of ship operation and is therefore beneficial for candidate from all sectors of maritime industry.
  • This program may be attended by - deck or engine superintends, electrical superintends, marine insurance surveyors / loss adjusters, maritime lawyers / consultants / maritime finance personnel, ship owner’s personnel, ship operators, charterers, brokers, superyacht operators and shore bases technical managers, repair contractors, including senior shipyard personnel.
