Located at Canterbury in Kent UK, Fire Security Provides safety training in Confined Space, MCA accredited fire fighting, breathing apparatus, Crisis Management and human behavior, fire safety awareness training, fire warden and fire risk assessment plus many more.

The approvals include - City & Guilds, MCA, BAFE, and BSEN ISO 9001. They also deliver bespoke breathing apparatus training and are providers of general fire safety awareness and fire warden courses.

The fire services include the supply, fitting and servicing of fire extinguishers and accessories, fire alarms, safety signs and the hire of fire protection equipment. Additionally, The also offer a comprehensive fire and training consultancy service to companies in the South East, and the rest of the UK.

The training facility is located in the South East at the ex-Mines Rescue Station for the Kent coalfield.

Training Programs

STCW Maritime Courses

  • Enclosed Space Entry Training: The enclosed space entry course is delivered in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Merchant Navy Training Board in 2010.
  • STCW Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF) - MCA Accredited (4 days): This four day course is approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) as meeting the requirements laid down in regulation VI/1, paragraph 1 and section A-VI/1, paragraph 2.1 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended. Successful completion of the course results in certification issued under the authority of the MCA.
  • STCW Fire Fighting And Fire Prevention (FFFP) - MCA Accredited (3 days): This 3 day course is approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) as meeting the requirements for mariners laid down in regulation VI/1, paragraph 1 and section A-VI/1, paragraph 2.1.2 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended. Successful completion of the course results in certification issued under the authority of the MCA.
  • STCW Crisis Management and Human Behaviour (1 day): This one-day course is approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) as meeting the mandatory training requirement for senior officers and key personnel on ships carrying passengers, as specified in the IMO Standards for Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW ) Code Sections A-V/2 & 3 paragraphs 1, 3 and 5.
  • STCW Updated Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting and Updated Proficiency in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting - MCA Accredited (2 days): This two day course amalgamates the two required STCW fire fighting Updating courses into one course. The delegate therefore benefits from achieving both STCW updating qualifications over the two days, with practical elements interspersed with the classroom lessons throughout the course.
  • STCW Updated Proficiency in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) - MCA Accredited (1 day): This one day course is approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) as meeting the requirements of the new STCW 2010 amendments.
