Operations, Project and Supply Chain Management Education at Manchester Business School
The University of Manchester is a public research university and is a red brick university and a member of the Russell Group of research-intensive British universities and the N8 Group. The University of Manchester and the constituent former institutions combined have 25 Nobel Laureates among their past and present students and staff, the third highest number of any single university in the United Kingdom after Cambridge and Oxford.
Manchester Business School (MBS) which is the business school of University of Manchester and the largest campus-based business and management school in the UK. Manchester is recognized for its original thinkers: the long and proud history of research excellence continues the spirit of innovation and achievement for which the city is renowned. The School was one of the first two business schools in the UK (both founded in 1965). MBS is part of a small and select band of institutions worldwide which are accredited by all three major bodies - AACSB International, AMBA and EQUIS.

The 2011 Financial Times survey ranks the MBA 4th in the UK, 11th in Europe and 29th in the world. Over the last three years The FT ranks MBS at an average position of 34. The 2011 FT survey also placed the students exposure to international business 19th in the world. The most recent Forbes survey, which ranks business schools on their return on investment (ROI) via a survey of alumni salaries, ranks the MBA program fifth in the world, based on ROI.

The course provides you with the knowledge and practical skills vital for the professional operations, project or supply chain manager in a globalised environment. It also gives you a strong foundation for any subsequent doctoral work or an academic career within the field.
- On completion of the MSc Operations, Project and Supply Chain Management program, students with three years work experience in a relevant field of supply chain management can apply to become full members of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). As the course is accredited to CIPS, students with the required work experience will not need to take any further examinations to become full members of CIPS (as long as they have completed the required modules and a supply chain focused dissertation as part of the MSc).
- Entry Requirement: UK bachelor degree with first or upper second class honours or the overseas equivalent in any discipline. When assessing your academic record the school takes into account; your grade average, position in class, references, and the standing of the institution where you studied your qualification. English language requirement for international students whose first language is not English.
