Established as a University in 2005, the University of Northampton was formerly known as University College Northampton which was established in 1999 by merging several colleges and is located in Northampton, East Midlands, England. The university offers a range of Bachelor degrees, foundation degrees, diplomas and a variety of postgraduate opportunities up to PhD level. One of the youngest universities in the UK, the university is ranked Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

With over 12000 students, University of Northampton is the first university in the UK to be named as a Changemaker Campus in 2012. The university is divided into four faculties - the Faculty of Business & Law, the Faculty of Arts, Science & Technology, the Faculty of Health & Society; and the Faculty of Education & Humanities. The university has three sites in Northampton. Park Campus at Kingsthorpe, Avenue Campus north of the town center and new riverside campus in the town center.

Faculty of Business and Law is reputed for its innovative curriculum and courses and is one of the country’s leading Business educators. It also has deep roots in the community through services such as the Pro Bono Advice Clinic. Students within the Faculty benefit from academic staff who have commercial and academic industry experience, alongside local knowledge and a global outlook.

Academic Programs

Bachelor Degree Program

  • BA (Hons) International Finance (Top-Up) (1 year full time): The Top Up equips international students with the knowledge, language and practical skills required to  operate effectively in economies where there is strong demand for International Trade and finance.  This highly practical  international finance top-up course focuses on contemporary issues in international banking and trading goods globally, and the efficiency of international trade and finance arrangements.
  • Entry Requirements: Hold a Higher National Diploma or equivalent (Edexcel, ABE, NCC) or Foundation Degree in a related field. international students with Higher Diplomas or degrees from their own country will also be considered.

Master Degree Programs

  • MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management (1 year full time or more for placement option): This program covers every stage of the supply chain, from raw material supply to resource recovery, as well as the many modes of transport. Developments in the last two decades have seen huge investments into technologies necessary to deliver reduced operating costs, shorter lead times and better value for customers. You will investigate and evaluate the range of current approaches and how this could change through the use of theoretical and industry sources. This course is externally accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). This course has an Industry Placement option.
  • Entry Requirements: To be eligible for this course in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, the typical entry requirement would be a 2.2 or higher degree classification from a UK university or equivalent.
