Established in 1909, Arkansas Tech University (ATU) is a regional institution located in Russellville with a satellite campus in Ozark, Arkansas. The university offers programs at both baccalaureate and graduate levels in a range of fields. The Ozark campus primarily focuses on associate and certificate education.

The Ozark campus, which is more than 26 acres and includes a half-mile exercise path and disc golf course, is located along Arkansas Highway 23 North in Ozark, Arkansas.

The city of Ozark, with a population of approximately 3,500, is located on the banks of the Arkansas River and surrounded to the north by the Ozark National Forest and to the south by the Ouachita National Forest.

Located to the west of Ozark is the city of Fort Smith, a commercial and industrial center for western Arkansas. To Ozark's northwest are the cities of Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville, collectively known as some of the fastest growing commercial centers in the state. Russellville, home to Arkansas Tech University's main campus and an area of vigorous industrial development, is located to the southeast of Ozark on Interstate 40.

ATU is regionally accredited as an institution through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Academic Programs

AAS Degree Program

  • AAS Degree in Logistics Management (In-Person and Online): The Logistic Management AAS is a sequence of courses that will prepare students for careers in the logistics profession. Logistics Management (LGM) focuses on the logistics of planning, implementing, and controlling the effective and efficient flow of goods and services.
    • Areas covered in this degree comprise basic fundamentals of supply chain management including procurement, issues in executing global supply chains, logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation. It also includes business management, project management, business communications, economics of supply and demand, computer fundamentals, and data management skills.
    • Hands-on learning opportunities: 150-hour internship in the industry
    • Career options include positions within manufacturing, transportation, order processing, warehousing, inventory control, and purchasing.

  • Certificate of Proficiency in Logistics Management: The Certificate of Proficiency in Logistics Management will prepare students for entry-level positions within manufacturing, transportation, order processing, warehousing, inventory control, and purchasing.  This certificate of proficiency may be applied to the Technical Certificate in Logistics Management and the Associate of Applied Science degree in Logistics Management.
