Supply Chain Management Certificate and Degree Programs at SAU Tech, Camden AR
Established in 1968 and located in Camden AR, Southern Arkansas University Tech (SAU Tech) is a two-year public college which is part of the Southern Arkansas University System. With over 1800 students, SAU Tech offers the first two years of a university transfer program in General Education, Teacher Education, and Business Administration. SAU Tech also offers technical programs in Aviation Maintenance, Computer Information Technology, and Technology to name a few.
SAU Tech also has specialty schools like the SAU Tech Career Academy, the Ouachita County Adult Education Center, the Arkansas Fire Training Academy, and the Arkansas Environmental Training Academy. SAU Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Southern Arkansas University Tech‘s Workforce Training Department provides credit and non-credit specialized training courses for business and industries upon request. The college partners with business and industries in its service area through consortium-based services.
- AAS Degree in Supply Chain Management: Southern Arkansas University Tech’s Supply Chain Management program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the areas of logistics, inventory control, materials management, distribution, and operations management. Students will learn purchasing, material handling, warehousing, product management, storage and distribution, and inventory control.
- Technical Certificate in Supply Chain Management: This is a 30 credit hour program. The field of logistics management includes occupations such as supervisors and/or managers of transportation, storage, and/or distribution; helpers, laborers, and/or hand material movers; transportation/machine and vehicle material movers; and freight forwarding.
- Students have the opportunity to be certified by MSSC as a Certified Logistic Technician as well as certification in enterprise software management by learning logistics software used by local employers in the movement, storage, control, and information flow of product.
