Established in 1989 and located at Wildwood Florida, Mini-Craft of Florida Inc is a Gel-Coat refinishing manufacturer in the United States. Gel-Coat is used for boat repair or building production parts. The company makes the Patch Putty pint repair kit for the chip, ding, and scratched areas. They also offer a good selection of Liquid Gel-Coat spray repair kits.

Mini-Craft offers certification and workshop programs and they take maximum students are two per workshop.

Workshop & Certification Programs

  • Workshop I - Poly Flake Repair (2 days): Repair stress cracks and scrapes; application of flakes; and clear gelcoat application techniques.
  • Workshop II - Gel-Coat Repair and Color Tinting (2 days): Learn the newest techniques in color matching; Each student will work on a fiberglass boat section to repair air voids, stress cracks and scrapes/nicks, etc.; and Learn the latest products for rejuvenating dull, faded Gel-Coat.
  • Workshop III - Mold Making (2 days): Build a wood plug and prepare a plug for the molding process; and Build mold from the plug and prepare for production.
  • Workshop IV - General Fiberglass Fabrication (2 days): Learn how to develop a layup schedule for your production needs; and Learn the most efficient and cost-effective method to fabricate a fiberglass mold or part.
  • Workshop V General Fiberglass Repair (2 days): Learn the latest in coring materials to strengthen damaged areas; and Learn the “lay-up” schedule to ensure stiffness and longevity.
  • Workshop VI Heavy-Duty Fiberglass Repair (2 days): Replace wet and rotten core with new materials; and Learn to replace transoms and stringers with the latest compounds and fiberglass.
  • Workshop VII Non-Skid Flex Mold Repair (2 days): Learn to install Flex-Mold on a plug before making the mold; Learn how to prepare Flex-Mold Non-Skid surfaces before starting the repair; and Learn to repair Flex-Mold Non-Skid patterns on any fiberglass surface.
