Skipper Course and Maneuvering Under Power Clinic (Skipper Rank) Online Programs
A skipper is usually a person who commands a boat or a yacht and, the skipper as shipmaster or captain has to command over the whole crew. The skipper may or may not be the owner of the boat and responsible for all aspects of the running of the boat. The Skipper of a boat takes responsibility every time he sails off and starts sailing with his crew.
The Skipper Rank of NauticEd International Sailing School consists of two bundled courses - Skipper Course and Maneuvering under Power. The bundled courses are a must for day sailors of larger keelboats 26 ft to 56 ft (8m to 17m) looking to gain or strengthen core competencies. When you complete these two courses and log a minimum of 10 days sailing in the free NauticEd online sailing logbook (Sailing Resume), you'll be awarded the Skipper Rank Level I Sailing Certification.
After you complete the certification online you may practice and sail on water through a NauticEd approved sailing school nationally and internationally. The training schools and located across the continents. Sailing and Charter companies around the world recognize NauticEd certifications.

- Skipper Course (20 hours): This is a comprehensive sailing lesson for beginner to intermediate sailors on keelboats 26 ft (8m) and above. If you want to learn to sail or improve your sailing skills then the Skipper Course is right for you. Topics covered in the online NauticEd skipper course include - Weather and Sea Conditions, Electrical Systems, Auxiliary Power, Rigging - Standing and Running, Rules of the Road , Slip Departure and Return, Sailing Communications & Navigation, Anchoring and Mooring, and Coping with Emergencies.
- Maneuvering Under Power Clinic (3 hours): This is absolutely an essential maneuvering and docking course that will save you thousands in dents, bumps, and scratches at the marina. This is the course if you want to dock your boat like a pro every time.
- Tests: You may take the tests anytime and as many times as you like online or offline via the iPad/iPhone testing app.
