Helicopter Refueling Training and assessment ensures the refueling operations are carried out safely, there is care with the handling and storage of aviation fuel, and that equipment is well maintained at all times, ready for use. The aim of the Helicopter Refueling Training is to equip the learner with the initial knowledge, understanding and skills required to operate and maintain helicopter fueling systems safely and effectively.

The objectives of the Helicopter Refueling Training are that learners will be able to - Understand helicopter Refueling regulations, guidelines and documentation and relevant roles and responsibilities; Understand the properties of, and understand and perform operational requirements for transport, handling, sampling, and storage of aviation turbine fuel; Understand helicopter fueling system design and maintenance; Perform operational requirements for helicopter fueling system setup and operation; Understand and perform pre and post helicopter Refueling operations; and Understand and perform helicopter Refueling operations.


The target group for the Helicopter Refueling Training program is personnel who are to be involved in helicopter Refueling activities offshore.
