Logistics, Transportation & Supply Chain Management Certificates and AAS Degree at NSCC, Nashville TN

Established in 1970, Nashville State Community College (NSCC) offers a high quality, associate degrees and certificates in technical education as you prepare to enter the workforce, or gives you a strong foundation as you plan to move on to a four-year school. The programs are affordable, and give you the personal touch with small classes. In order to better serve middle Tennessee, additional sites have been established in addition to the main campus at Nashville. In Waverly, the Humphreys County Center of Higher Education serves students in Humphreys and surrounding counties.

In Putnam County, the Cookeville campus of Nashville State serves the upper Cumberland region. In Nashville, the Southeast Center provides learning opportunities for all of southeast Davidson County. Students can also take classes at the college’s Dickson campus located at the Renaissance Center.

The faculty has doctorate, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees, certifications, and work experience in the programs and the courses in which they teach. In their classes, they combine lecture with hands-on learning and strive to develop and reinforce students’ critical thinking skills throughout their college experience. And, Partnerships such as Nashville State with the Sage Group further assist students in developing the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for effectiveness in their careers. Nashville State Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Associate Business Degrees are accredited by ABCSP.

Undergraduate Program



  • Associate of Applied Science degree in Business - Logistics Concentration: Develop the managerial and technical skills required to work in small, medium, or large businesses. The Entrepreneurship, Logistics, Management, and Marketing concentrations of the Business program prepare you for successful careers in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and service industry organizations.

Technical Certificates

  • Technical Certificates in Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain: The Logistics Technical Certificate, the Transportation Technical Certificate, and the Supply Chain Technical Certificate each prepare students for employment in the supply chain management field. Each certificate is designed to introduce logistics principles to students seeking first-time employment in supply chain management or for more experienced individuals desiring to expand their knowledge. The Logistics Technical Certificate, the Transportation Technical Certificate, and the Supply Chain Technical Certificate each provide an alternative to students who choose not to pursue the Associate of Applied Science degree in Business - Logistics Concentration.
