Founded in 1832, Durham University is a public residential collegiate and research university in Durham, North East England. The university was founded by an Act of Parliament in 1832 and granted a Royal Charter in 1837. Durham University also has a second campus in Stockton-on-Tees. A member of the Russell Group of British research universities, Durham offers over 200 undergraduate and 130 taught postgraduate courses, and many research programs.

Academic Programs

Master Program

  • MSc in Management (Supply Chain Logistics) (1 year): This is a problem-based learning program that mixes academic robustness with applied, practical and inter-disciplinary perspectives. The program consists of a set of core and elective modules, culminating in a practice-based business project or a research-based dissertation.
  • Accreditation: Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), it is designed to give you a thorough grounding in the theoretical and practical aspects of managing supply chains, enabling you to put classroom knowledge into practice.
  • International Experience: During the International Study Tour elective, students will betaken to a European destination for a week. This activity provides opportunity to be exposed to the challenges of global business, make new contacts, and help stand out in the competitive jobs market.
  • Admissions Requirements: The equivalent of a UK first or upper second class hons degree. If you are an international student who does not meet the requirements for direct entry to this degree, you may be eligible to take a pre-Masters pathway program at the Durham University International Study Center.

Training Workshops

  • Negotiating Maritime Boundaries (Hague, Netherlands): This workshop, led by some of the world’s most experienced boundary negotiators, is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to conclude a successful maritime boundary agreement. The program will be structured around a full-day boundary negotiation exercise in which participants will work in teams to resolve a boundary dispute based on a real-world scenario. The course will also include practical instruction on building and preparing a negotiating team, negotiation strategy and tactics, and drafting an agreement.
