The Island Offshore Group is privately owned and comprises a group of ship owning and management companies. Established in 2004, Island Offshore Management AS has developed management systems in compliance with the guidelines from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and is certified by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate according to the ISM-code. Island Offshore Sub Sea AS (IOSS) was established in 2005 and is the Technology and Engineering Company within the Group. In addition to the offshore vessel operations the business comprises of management and subsea services.
With over 900 employees at sea and land combined, the company has a strong focus on organizational learning and competence and wants to enhance competence by continuous improvement of skills. This is achieved by performing internal and external courses and seminars for both sailing and onshore personnel.
Vestbris course and competence center is located in close connection to the company office at Stålhaugen 12 in Ulsteinvik. It contains: Fully equipped classroom facilities for 20 persons, thereof 12 with PC and internet connection; MT ( Marine Technologies ) DP2 Simulator for training of IOM bridge teams; Offshore crane simulator for both ships and rigs; and, AB workstations simulators, possible to operate together with crane operations.

- Cadet / Trainee: It is part of Island Offshore policy to employ trainees and cadets to contribute in the recruitment process to different positions primarily onboard, but also to the onshore organization. Interested Cadets must register in Maritimt Forums “Kadettdatabasen”, and, interested Trainees must register through “Opplæringskontoret for Maritime Fag” in Ålesund. Applications from foreign cadets received directly to the Company will be addressed and considered if a vacancy or possibility occurs.

Supply & Logistics
Island Offshore operates one of the largest North Sea fleets of advanced Platform Supply Vessels. The fleet comprises series of medium to large PSVs with UT755, UT 776CD and UT 717CD design. The group has a fleet standardization strategy enabling efficient maintenance and spares programs in addition to facilitating effective crew training and experience transfer across vessels.
Increased Oil Recovery
Island Offshore specializes in developing and implementing innovative engineered solutions for Light Well Intervention (LWI) to obtain increased oil recovery. Other subsea well operations using dynamically positioned vessels to replace drilling rigs can also be performed to offer reduced costs for subsea operations.
Subsea
Island Offshore operates a fleet of advanced and versatile vessels with subsea capabilities. The vessels perform a broad range of subsea related services including well stimulation, survey, crane work, light construction, ROV operations and trenching. All vessels in have ROVs permanently installed and offer excellent crew and client comfort including office facilities for client staff.
Anchor handling
Island Offshore operates 2 mid size AHTS vessels with UT 787 CD design both delivered from Aker Langsten in 2007. The vessels are equipped for deep water anchor handling with fully integrated work ROV support. The vessels also undertake heavy duty mooring and subsea installation work including pre-laying of chain and synthetic rope at deep water.
Engineering
Island Offshore Subsea AS provide engineering and support services to provide innovative solutions that allow Increased Oil Recovery (IOR) with minimum environmental impact by implementing new methods and improving existing services.
