The principal areas of operation includes Subsea Umbilical, Riser and Flowline (SURF) systems (SURF services include engineering and construction for subsea field developments, pipeline and riser systems and associated services); Life-of-Field work including inspection, maintenance and repair, integrity management and remote intervention; Conventional Services (Deepwater expertise is complemented by conventional construction skills and capabilities that help solve complex hydrocarbon extraction and field development problems); and, Renewables (a dedicated renewables energy business that provides project management, engineering and construction services to the offshore renewables industry).

Graduate Development Program

  • Embark on a two-year program and be exposed to a variety of experiences which include formal training sessions, on-the-job development, mentoring, personal development, and global team projects. Subsea7 provides an environment which promotes and supports the development of broad business skills and technical knowledge which will enable you to work effectively within the global organisation. Graduate roles are available across a variety of geographies and functions, including, but not limited to Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Marketing and Project Services.

Engineers & Professionals 

  • Subsea 7 recognizes there are many highly skilled and experienced engineers working in other industries who have much to offer the highly successful and expanding business and regularly seeks experienced engineers to participate in the high quality, training scheme, allowing them to achieve quick conversion to the role of a Subsea Engineer.
  • Engineering Conversion Program: The training is specific to the needs of each country and may be run as an intensive course over a number of weeks or as a mixture of on-the job experience and off-the job formal training in the first few months. In all cases you will be introduced to a range of subsea engineering topics. In addition, you will visit vessels and construction sites and receive the mandatory offshore survival training. Once you have completed the program you will be not only work on the wide range of projects, but be able to participate in ongoing training, development and mentoring. The opportunities are available frequently in the following disciplines: Testing and Commissioning; Design, Analysis and Installation Engineering - Flexible and Umbilical; Interface Coordinator; Topside and Subsea Tie-in; Diving Intervention; Remote Construction (ROV); Structure Lifting and Installation; Structural Design and Analysis; Welding and Material; Rigid Pipeline; Geotechnical; CAD (AutoCad); and, Mechanical Design (Inventor).
  • Offshore Disciplines: The offshore disciplines recruited for within Subsea 7 are - Diving Operations (Some of the main tasks undertaken by divers are duties such as cutting and bolting, general repair and maintenance of structures under the sea); Construction & Operations (Roles range from rigging crews and crane operators who work on the back deck responsible for all lifting operations to Shift Supervisors and Offshore Managers who are ultimately responsible for all offshore operations); Marine (Subsea 7 employs people as Deck Officers from 2nd Officer through to Master, and as Engineering Officers from 3rd Engineer through to Chief Engineer as well as Electricians and Chief Electricians); Technicians (Subsea recruit technicians in two key areas - Lay and Trench who are responsible for the mobilization, operations and maintenance of the pipelay lay and plough systems); ROV (ROV teams work with cutting edge technology, piloting and maintaining remotely operated vehicles performing such tasks as installation of subsea infrastructures, pipeline installation; video observation of divers and inspection of underwater assets); Inspection (The role of the Inspection team is primarily inspection and reporting on the clients subsea assets such as pipelines and structures.); and, Survey (A career within Survey and Positioning incorporates a wide range of tasks such as - offshore construction related surveying, positioning and inspection activities including pipe-lay, pipeline construction, subsea metrology, pipeline inspection, bundle tows and installations, high-resolution geophysical site and route surveys, dive support, barge positioning and structure installation).
