The MCA Small Vessel Engineering Examinations are for engineers working in Yachts, Tugs, Fishing Vessels, Workboats, Standby, Seismic Survey, Oceanographic Research Vessels and Government Patrol Vessels to achieve STCW III/2 Second Engineer Small Vessel 9000 kW / 3000 GT Unlimited, and Chief Engineer Small Vessel Certificate of Competence.

The course syllabus provided here is effective August 1, 2018 as per the new regulations by the Maritime and Coastgauard Agency for Small Vessel Engineers. This include the new Small Vessel Workshop Training.
