Founded in 1921 and headquartered in Washington DC, Bankers Association for Finance and Trade (BAFT) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Bankers Association (ABA) and operates councils throughout the world. ICC Academy Professional Programs
- Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP): The Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) will give students an in-depth knowledge of trade finance products. Using detailed case studies (28 in total) and an emphasis on real-world scenarios, this intensive online program focuses on key trade finance products, techniques and compliance issues.
- Global Trade Certificate (GTC): The Global Trade Certificate (GTC) is an introductory-level certification designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of trade finance products – from letters of credit through to supply chain financing techniques. It’s an ideal program for professionals wanting to build an understanding of the nuts and bolts of global trade.
- Incoterms® 2020 Certificate (INCO): The certificate is intended to build confidence in choosing the right Incoterm rule for the right transaction, in advising colleagues when issues arise in the execution of transactions, and in interfacing with logistics, finance and insurance personnel in other companies that come into contact with the same transaction. The certificate program is available in English or Spanish.
LIBF Professional Programs
- Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS): CDCS is a professional qualification recognized as a benchmark of competence for International Trade practitioners. It enables documentary credit practitioners to demonstrate practical knowledge and understanding of the complex issues associated with documentary credit practice.
- Certificate in International Trade & Finance (CITF): The Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) will give students an in-depth knowledge of trade finance products. Using detailed case studies (28 in total) and an emphasis on real-world scenarios, this intensive online program focuses on key trade finance products, techniques and compliance issues. Each e-course has been tailor-made to develop the skills needed to sell, deliver and process global trade finance solutions.
- Certificate in Supply Chain Finance (CSCF): CSCF is designed for finance professionals who want to build their knowledge and understanding of the techniques for financing international supply chains. Identify funding gaps as a result of trade cycle analysis, understand clients’ needs and develop your skills in structuring and implementing SCF solutions.
- Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG): The CSDG qualification will develop students’ understanding in the use of guarantees, industry rules, legislation and the challenges relating to demand guarantees and standby credits. The Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) has been developed by The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) and industry experts in partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and is supported by BAFT.
- Certificate in Trade Finance Compliance (CTFC): This qualification gives you the technical knowledge to succeed in trade finance compliance and the ability to apply expertise in a professional setting. It is a valuable benchmark for Trade Finance Operations Staff, Relationship Managers, Bank Audit and Compliance Staff, and Risk Managers.

- Certificate in Transaction Risk for Trade (CTRT): This program is targeted towards sales and other trade professionals to help in identifying prospect companies and determine which trade products are appropriate for each of them.
