Located in Marine bay, Gibraltar, Trafalgar Sailing offers RYA training programs for over 24 years. The yacht that used for your RYA sailing course is a modern Bavaria 2018, Dufour or Jeanneau which are comfortable, spacious, clean and seaworthy. The fleet is conveniently moored at Marina Bay in Gibraltar, within easy walking distance from the airport.
300 days of sunshine a year and consistent winds generated between mountain ranges in Spain and Africa, the Strait creates a fantastic tidal training area. Gibraltar and Spain have modern marinas with vibrant restaurants. You can also anchor in a natural bay or windswept beach.
Trafalgar Sailing offer RYA courses all year due to the Mediterranean climate in Gibraltar. RYA shore-based courses run in the classroom with comfortable accommodation at the villa in Sotogrande Spain with swimming pool, gym, gardens and private study.

- RYA Competent Crew Practical: For those who have never sailed before, or even if you have but never really understood what was going on, this is the perfect introduction to sailing. The course will cover - Being Safe while sailing and knowing what to do in an Emergency, Preparing the yacht for sea, Sailing, Sail Handling, Knots, Helming, Rules of the Road and Terminology.
- RYA Day Skipper Practical in Tidal Waters: RYA Day Skipper practical course will teach you the skills needed to become a Skipper of a sailing yacht. This is the first step in taking charge on a yacht and your experienced RYA instructor will teach you pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling.
- RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Skipper: The RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Skipper Course is an advanced Skippers course for yachtsmen and women who have considerable knowledge of sailing and navigation. The aim of the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Skipper Courses is to build on your Day Skipper skills and to give you the confidence and ability to skipper a cruising yacht safely on coastal and offshore passages by day and night.
- RYA Yachtmaster Offshore: The RYA Yachtmaster Offshore is an intensive 10-day course to prepare an experienced sailor for the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Practical exam, which will lead to an RYA / MCA Certificate of Competence, which is recognized by maritime authorities worldwide.
- RYA Yachtmaster Fast Track: The RYA Yachtmaster Fast Track is a complete full-time training package designed to take you from basic seamanship skills through to Skippering confidently and passing the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore exam.
