Glasgow Caledonian University is a public university and was constituted by an Act of Parliament on April 1993 as a result of a merger between Glasgow Polytechnic and The Queen's College, Glasgow. With nearly 17,000 students from the UK and abroad, Glasgow Caledonian University has become one of the largest universities in Scotland and offers a stimulating, vibrant and accessible environment for learning, teaching and applied research.

The university offers a wide range of programs, all of which have a strong focus on ensuring that the graduates have the opportunity to enter a successful career in their chosen discipline. This strong careers focus is illustrated by the fact that the vast majority of Caledonian students looking for employment found a job or went on to further study within six months of graduation.

Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS) is a new school in the university and offers a wide-range of excellent programs with opportunities to study at undergraduate or postgraduate levels in generic areas such as business or management or social sciences, or niche areas including accountancy, banking, investment and risk, international fashion branding, international retail marketing, luxury brand marketing, international tourism, multimedia journalism, business law, and supply chain management.

MSc program is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT),Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and, Yellow Belt Recognition on graduation. Graduates of this program are eligible for membership at these organizations after completing their requirements for memberships.

Academic Programs

Bachelors Degree Program

  • BA (Hons) International Supply Chain Management (Top up - 2 years full time): This program is designed for students with a relevant HND to enter at Year 3 and gain an Hons degree. You'll develop your understanding of the complexity of the internal and external connections of international supply chains and gain the tools, techniques and management abilities required for a successful career. You'll also develop your knowledge of the global challenges affecting supply chain process, including economic, legal, financial, strategic and global issues, and their impact on International Trade.

Masters Degree Program

  • MSc International Operations and Supply Chain Management (1 year full time or a 2 years with Professional Practice): This program focuses on producing employable, responsible graduates, who are able to contribute effectively from the start of their employment. A unique aspect of the program is that students can achieve Lean Yellow Belt certification as part of the course. It is accredited by Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and transport (CILT).
  • Two-year masters courses give you the chance to develop your knowledge and professional skills with an extended work placement. You'll experience all the benefits of a regular masters, but with the additional advantage of a further professional practice placement over two trimesters. You'll be fully supported and prepared for your placement, and graduate with significant work experience, in-depth knowledge and understanding of your chosen sector.
  • Entry Requirements: Typical entry requirements: UK hons degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in any subject area. Academic IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no element below 5.5.
