Liberian Registry (LISCR) Approved STCW Crowd Management and Passenger Safety Online Training for Shipboard Crew and Personnel
Effective crowd management and control are fundamental to the prevention of incidents that may arise when large numbers of persons are assembled in confined or controlled spaces, particularly where a safety or Security situation may develop. Given that passenger vessels carry substantial numbers of passengers, it is imperative that all crew members and shipboard personnel possess the necessary awareness, competence, and confidence to assist passengers promptly and effectively in any emergency.
In accordance with the STCW 2010 Code, crew serving on passenger ships are required to undertake approved training in Crowd Management. Given the scale and complexity of passenger operations, it is vital that crew members possess a clear understanding of crowd dynamics and are fully capable of assisting, directing, and communicating with passengers in a calm and authoritative manner during emergency situations.
This training meets the mandatory minimum requirements for the training of masters, officers, ratings and any other crew with responsibility for the safety of passengers when embarking, disembarking and in emergency situations on passenger ships STCW Regulation V/2 and Section A-V/2 of the STCW Convention and Code.
