Logistics & Supply Chain Management Education On-Campus in Daytona Beach and Online
Established in 1926, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the world’s oldest and largest fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace. As a global institution, the University educates 34,000 students annually at Embry-Riddle Worldwide locations, through online learning, and at residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida and Prescott, Arizona. Embry-Riddle offers its students a wide array of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in aviation, aerospace, transportation, business, engineering, and related high-tech fields.
Worldwide degree and nondegree programs are delivered through a network of more than 170 locations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Each campus offers a full range of student services and academic programs. Classroom courses are taught by local and national faculty, with courses scheduled to meet the needs of the students.
Students may enroll in classes through Worldwide campuses or online. Embry-Riddle Worldwide annually delivers instruction to 27,000 military and civilian students, with nearly 90,000 class enrollments. With Worldwide’s EagleVision technology, students at different geographical locations can receive instruction at the same time.
Academic Programs
Undergraduate Programs
- BS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management: As part of the Worldwide & Online Campus, students have the choice of multiple learning modes – online, in person, and virtual web conferencing. The program gives students the advanced knowledge and skill sets that set them apart as an informed professional with a thorough understanding of - Modeling approaches for effective problem solving and decision making; Technology, process, and people solutions for warehousing, distribution and, transportation operations; Inventory management methods that optimize the supply chain, from end to end; Purchasing and procurement policies and procedures in varied business settings; Metrics for tracking and analyzing supply chain performance; and, Concepts and competencies central to best practices, regulations, and professional ethics.
- After receiving a bachelor’s degree, possible professional certification programs include the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD), Association for Operations Management (APICS) Certified Supply Chain Professional or the International Society of Logistics (SOLE) Certified Professional Logistician.
- Students who take the three-course sequence of SAP courses (LGMT 236, LGMT 400 and LGMT 430) will be eligible for SAP recognition.
- BS in Global Business & Supply Chain Management: The degree program is designed for students interested in learning about global business practice, culture-specific communications, supply chain management and global entrepreneurship success. The program examines global issues in aviation, logistics, marketing, accounting, trade and other topics relevant to international business.
Graduate Programs
- MS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management: The M.S. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Embry-Riddle equips its graduates with the tools and knowledge essential to effectively and efficiently manage a supply chain — including sourcing and procurement, conversion, and all logistics management activities — or for furthering your current role in the industry. ERAU’s program also prepares graduates for certification as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) offered by the Association for Operations Management (APICS), Certified Professional Logistics (CPL) certification program offered by the International Society of Logistics (SOLE), and the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) offered by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
