Established in 1989 and located in Findlay, Ohio, the All Hazards Training Center was established by the University of Findlay, and provides customized environmental, health and safety training programs in Findlay and nationwide. Since the inception, they have trained over a quarter million participants in all 50 states and 4 foreign countries.

The center works has worked with a variety of industries ranging and offer a wide variety of on-site training classes in the areas of All Hazards Training, OSHA Safety, Emergency Response & Preparedness, Maritime Security and more. Individual training classes that are offered both online and on-site at the All Hazards Training Center in Findlay, Ohio and online.

The University of Findlay also offers one of the best graduate and undergraduate degree programs in the country for ES&H Professionals. The graduate program is offered 100% online and is accredited by EHAC. The undergraduate program is one of the few in the country to be accredited by both the ANSAC and EHAC.

All Hazards’ comprehensive suite of Maritime Security courses addresses a variety of training needs, from those of part-time port employees, to contractors with Security responsibilities to the Facility Security Officer (FSO).

Training Programs

Maritime Security Training

  • Maritime Security for Facility Personnel with Specific Security Duties: This 8-hour course provides facility personnel having dedicated security duties the knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of 33 CFR 105.210 and the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code.
  • Maritime Security Awareness: Maritime regulations require that all maritime facility employees receive security training. This includes not just full-time employees, but part-time and contractor workers as well. This 4-hour course responds to that need by satisfying the content requirements of 33 CFR 105.215. By working with your Facility Security Officer, this course can be customized into a site-specific course designed around the operations at your facility and your facility security plan.
  • Facility Security Officer (FSO): This U. S. Coast Guard-accepted course provides Facility Security Officers (FSOs) the knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of 33 CFR 105.205, the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, and the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 (MTSA).
  • Facility Security Officer Refresher: This 4-hour or 8-hour course informs Facility Security Officers of the most current developments in maritime security. Topics include latest news in maritime security regulations and policies, Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program update, innovations in security equipment, Subchapter H update and training issues and compliance inspection problems and solutions.
  • MTSA Cruise Ship Terminal Screener Training: This course satisfies the requirements of 33 CFR 105.535. Topics addressed include historic and current threats against the cruise ship industry; relevant portions of the Terminal Screening Program (TSP) and Facility Security Plan; the purpose and contents of the cruise ship terminal Prohibited Items List (PIL); and more

Other Marine Security Training

  • Port and Vessel Security for Public Safety and Maritime Personnel: The course equips participants with the basic competencies associated with port and vessel security and a working knowledge of maritime security appropriate to public safety responders in rural jurisdictions. Participants are given instruction on specific maritime security regulations affecting facilities and vessels.
  • Small Vessel Security: This 8-hour awareness-level course has been developed to aid in the prevention of a small vessel incident and to assist participants in increasing response capabilities and critical thinking skills should a small vessel incident occur. This course is designed for first responders – specifically marine law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, and emergency management agency, local emergency planners, industry and community stakeholders located on or utilizing the waterways.
