Established in 1969, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is a public, two-year college under the authority of the Ohio Board of Regents. The College offers over 75 associate’s degree programs and majors and numerous certificate programs.
Annually, over 15,000 students enroll in Cincinnati State courses that are offered during the day, in the evening, and on weekends. In addition to its academic and technical programs, the College offers many continuing education opportunities through short courses, seminars, and on-site training for area businesses and industries.
Cincinnati State serves the community by hosting numerous community events throughout the year, and by its many partnerships with area high schools and universities.
Cincinnati State is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of Colleges and Universities which allows students, under certain conditions, to take courses not offered at their home institution at any of the thirteen member institutions.
Academic Programs
Undergraduate Programs
- Associate of Applied Business Degree (AAB) in Supply Chain Management (SCM): Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Business degree and are prepared for entry-level employment in areas such as inventory management, material handling, warehousing, logistics, traffic and transportation, or procurement. Graduates also are prepared to take the Level One Supply Chain Professional certification exam offered by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. There are two track - Operations track & Material Handling Technology track.
- Supply Chain Management Certificate (SCMC): The Supply Chain Management Certificate prepares students for employment in several key areas of the supply chain field, including purchasing, warehousing, transportation, manufacturing, and order fulfillment.
- Graduates of the AAB and certificate programs are also prepared to take the Level One Supply Chain Professional certification exam offered by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
Workforce Development Center Programs
- MSSC Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) & Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) - 60 hours: The industry-recognized, nationally portable CLA and CLT credentials from Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) help prepare individuals for careers in the rapidly growing and changing world of global supply chain logistics. The purpose of the program is to train individuals on the core competencies of material handling at the front-line (entry-level through front-line supervisor) with successful completion of the certification assessments.

Both theory and practice are stressed through appropriate classroom, laboratory, and cooperative education experiences.
- Campus: Cincinnati State’s main campus is located in the classic, urban metropolitan area of Clifton. Here you will find most of the College’s offered courses, student and administrative services, library, athletic and recreation facilities. Cincinnati State also operates West Campus in Harrison, Ohio.
- Accreditation: The College is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and holds numerous programmatic accreditations.
- Cooperative Education: Since its beginning, Cincinnati State has emphasized the value of integrating cooperative work experience with academic coursework. The College has been recognized nationally for its extensive cooperative education program. It’s the largest co-op program in the US among two-year colleges, over 800 area employers provide placements for Cincinnati State students who devote at least one term of their program of study to applying the knowledge they have acquired in the lab and in the classroom.
- Study Abroad: Education abroad is fast becoming a major part of a student’s college experience. Cincinnati State has affiliation agreements with The University of Arizona Yangtze International Study Abroad program (YISA) and International Studies Abroad (ISA). Students are not limited to these affiliated programs and are free to participate in any other school / organization sponsored programs.
- Graduate Employment: Within six months of graduation, nearly 90% of Cincinnati State grads are employed—much more than the national average for two-year colleges. More than 85% of employed graduates are likely to be in positions related to their majors—almost ten percent more than the national average.
- Workforce Development: In addition to its academic and technical programs, the Workforce Development Center (WDC) at Cincinnati State offers many continuing education opportunities in Industrial and Quality Improvement Training; HAZMAT, Rescue, and Safety; Professional, Managerial and Leadership; and Health Business through courses, seminars, and on-site training for area businesses and industries.
