Located in Falcarragh in Ireland, Errigal Training Centre is a new training provider to the Offshore Oil & Gas, Wind Energy, Maritime & Industrial Sectors. From our state-of-the-art facility in Falcarragh, Donegal, they offer a comprehensive portfolio of safety, emergency response, skills, and competency training endorsed by the world’s most respected authorities including OPITO, GWO, IRATA, RenewableUK, MCA, SOLAS and QQI.
With 16,000 sq foot building complex has been specifically built to deliver the unique training programs, Errigal Training Centre is situated less than 40 minutes from the Gateway town of Letterkenny. The facilities include - Fully equipped OGUK & OLF Medical Suite, Heated Indoor Pool, Helicopter Rescue Winch Simulator, Helicopter Underwater Escape Simulator, Indoor Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC) with Launching Platform and pool, Fire Ground Training Area, Fire Fighting Training Equipment and PPE, Smoke Filled Environment Escape Training Simulator, Crane Operations Area, Rigging Loft with typical Offshore Equipment, Rigger Training Frame, Banksman & Slinger Training Ground, Rope Access Area, and more
The training center sits surrounded by the wilds and seated beside Glenveagh National Park and a stone’s throw from the Atlantic Ocean, Tory Island is accessible via a quick flight from the onsite helipad. A 30-minute drive will take you to Donegal airport and both Derry and Belfast International airports are within a 2-hour drive.
Training Programs
UK Medical Certificates
- OGUK Medical Certificate: The offshore medical certificate, as it is commonly known, is controlled by UKOOA and renewals are necessary every 2 years irrespective of the age of the offshore worker. An OGUK Offshore Medical covers a range of topics essential under OGUK certification. OGUK medical certificate is valid for 2 years.
- RenewableUK (RUK) Wind Turbine Medical: The RUK medical certificate is designed to reflect issues specific to the wind and renewable energy sector, unlike alternative offshore medicals such as the OGUK offshore medical which is designed for the oil and gas sector. RUK medical certificate is valid for 2 years.
- Seafarers’ Medical (ENG11): As per UK MCA Merchant Shipping Notice 1815 (M); a valid Seafarer Medical issued in Ireland is recognised as equivalent to the UK ENG1 Medical for seafarers on sea-going United Kingdom ships (as defined in the Regulations). Seafarers’ Medical (ENG11) certificate is valid for 2 years.

- CA-EBS Fit To Train Assessment: This assessment is a mandatory prerequisite required for anybody using CA-EBS during training, for example BOSIET FOET or HUET with CA-EBS.
