Founded in 1961, Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) offers a full range of degrees, certificates, continuing education, and distance learning for people of all ages. Apart from the regular curriculum, there are many continuing education programs offered at various centers. AACC offers courses for people of all ages.
The college was named "Community College of the Year" by National Business Alliance in 2000. AACC is located in Arnold, Maryland.
Anne Arundel Community College has five Schools of Study with programs that lead to a variety of associates degrees, certificates and a letters of recognition and seven Institutes and Centers that provide a variety of programs, resources, and educational opportunities for specialized subject areas.
The Sarbanes Center for Public and Community Services helps students gain real world experience through internships, volunteer service, research, consulting and travel.
Anne Arundel Community College has developed a program in the transportation, logistics, and supply chain management industries designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the transportation and supply chain industries.
AACC in partnership with the Community College of Baltimore County also offers for individuals interested in obtaining and upgrading their captain's licenses.

Logistics & Supply Chain Programs
- AAS Degree in Business Management - Supply Chain Management Concentration: This program provides comprehensive skills necessary for a successful and satisfying business career or the first two years of coursework for students planning to transfer to a bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university majoring in business. The Business Management A.A.S. Degree requires that students choose a minimum of 12 credits in Business Management Option Electives.
- Certificate in Business Management with Supply Chain Management Option: This program enhances and upgrades managerial and communication skills and prepare for careers in the 21st century including today's technologically advanced workplace. Because the program is carefully tailored to job-related skills, full-time students can complete it in two terms.
- Certificate in Transportation, Logistics, and Cargo Security: This certificate will prepare students for entry-level employment in the growing transportation and logistics industry and enhance the knowledge and skills of existing industry employees. This program of study may be designated a Statewide Tuition Reduction Program.
USCG Licensing Program
- Captain's License - Master 100 Ton (Exam Preparation Training): Prepare for and take the USCG Master Mariner Captain's Licensing Exam. Learn USCG rules and regulations, deck seamanship, general navigation, chart plotting, and emergency and safety procedures. The master’s license enables you to operate both uninspected and inspected vessels up to the tonnage printed on the license. First time master’s licenses may be limited to inland or near coastal waters up to 200 miles offshore. The tonnage and area of operation that you are eligible for is determined by sea time. This program is provided in partnership with the Community College of Baltimore County.
