Located at Woodbridge NJ, Captain Jack’s Boating School provides USCG Captains License courses and New Jersey State approved boating safety certificate classes in Woodbridge, NJ and surrounding areas. USCG license is required for anyone wishing to operate a vessel-for-hire such as a charter boat, or operate any commercial vessel such as a ferry, dive boat, tug boat, push barge, head boat, etc. These courses are offered in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Atlantic counties.
To legally operate a motorized vessel (including motorboat, PWC and any other motorized vessel), the state of New Jersey requires that you take an approved Boating Safety Certificate class and successfully pass the approved test.
Captain Jack’s Boating School has years of experience in teaching NJ Boating Safety Certificate classes and offers classes in Woodbridge, NJ as well as Middlesex, Union, Somerset, Hunterdon, Monmouth and Morris counties.

Boating License & Classes
- New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate: This is the class you must successfully complete to get your New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate, which allows you to legally operate a power vessel (motor boat or PWC / JetSki / Waverunner) on New Jersey waters. Boaters who intend to operate their vessels on non-tidal/fresh waters are also required to have a boating endorsement on their NJ Driver’s License (commonly referred to as a New Jersey Boating License).
