Established in 1993 and headquartered in Aberdeen, Evolve Training provides safety, mechanical skills and personal development training throughout Scotland. The training facilities, apart from Aberdeen are available in Inverness, Peterhead, Ballater, Perth, and Montrose in Scotland as well as onsite training instructions. The expertise and experience allows the customers to comply with current legislation, provide certification for employees and help to ensure a safer work environment.

Evolve Training caters to the training needs of oil and gas, marine, public sector, construction and food & drink sectors fin UK. Their independently owned training facility in Dyce, Aberdeen of one and a half acre site comprising of 14 classrooms, large workshops and yard areas is ideally suited to theory and practical based training.

The company is an accredited training provider recognized by the following industry bodies - Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO), National Examination Board Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR), Qual Safe Awards {QA}, British Safety Council (BSC), Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA), and Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).

OPITO Courses

  • OPITO Banksman & Slinger Training - Stage 1: The OPITO Approved Banksman & Slinger Training Standard provides the introductory training program for personnel wishing to become competent in Banksman and slinging activities in the oil and gas industry.
  • OPITO Rigger Training - Stage 1 (3 days): The OPITO Approved Rigger Training provides the introductory training program for personnel wishing to become competent in Rigging activities in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • OPITO Banksman & Slinger Competence - Stages 3 & 4 9 (1 day): The aim and objective of the OPITO Stage 3 competence assessment is to establish that the candidate has the required underpinning knowledge, understanding and practical skills to fulfill the role of Banksman & Slinger safely and effectively.
  • OPITO Rigger Competence - Stages 3 & 4 (2 days): This is a program is designed for all rigging and lifting personnel who require to demonstrate competence in the Rigger Role. This standard identifies the basic competencies and safety training required by UK Offshore Oil & Gas Industry for personnel involved in rigging and lifting operations.
  • OPITO Rigger Training and Banksman & Slinger Training Stage 1 (5 days): The OPITO Approved combined Banksman & Slinger/ Rigger Training provides the introductory training programme for personnel wishing to become competent in both Banksman & Slinging and Rigging activities in the Oil and Gas industry.
