USCG Captains License Programs

• OUPV/Six-pack Captains License - Online Course & Exam: This officer endorsement is most appropriate for uninspected passenger vessels which by law are limited to six or less passengers for hire. These are usually smaller vessels and normally engage in charter fishing, whale watching, SCUBA diving, and tour cruises.
• 25/50 or 100-Ton Master Captains License - Online Course & Exam: The USCG Master's license is the highest-level license that you can acquire. This license allows you to operate inspected vessels with 7 or more paying passengers; think more commercial vessels, such as water taxis, whale-watching tour boats, and ferries. It also gives you the capabilities of the OUPV license, which allows you to take up to 6 paying passengers out on uninspected vessels, both power and sail.
• Towing or Sailing Endorsements: Assistance Towing Endorsement (for OUPV/SixPack or Master up to 100 License) enables you to tow a disabled vessel for hire, not for commercial barge towing. The Auxiliary Sail Endorsement can be added to your Master License. The endorsement is required to captain an Inspected sail or Auxiliary Sail vessel.
