Northeast Maritime Online is a comprehensive online learning management system designed by the Northeast Maritime Institute - College of Maritime Science. NEMO° saves mariners time away from home and money spent on travel to pursue their professional maritime education.
Courses are designed to support all learning styles by providing text, audio, visual and interactive tools. Users are given lesson checks and periodical knowledge checks as they would in a typical classroom environment, better preparing them for their final assessments.
The online courses feature HALO° simulators which are built in-house and emulate all the functions of real-world equipment. In addition, most of the courses are supported by HALO° Exams, an AI driven exam monitoring software that allows mariners to take their written exams at home using a webcam.
