Fleming College, also known as Sir Sandford Fleming College, is a College of Applied Arts and Technology. Located in the heart of Central Ontario, Fleming College has campus locations in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg and Haliburton. The college features more than 90 full-time programs in, Business, Community Development, Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, Fine Arts, Health and Wellness, Law and Justice, and Technology and Skilled Trades.

Founded in 1967, Fleming College has 5,700 full-time and 10,000 part-time students, and more than 58,000 alumni. The College offers hands-on learning, work placements, applied projects and field schools within its 90 full-time programs.

The School of Business, Computing & Hospitality is one of the larger schools within Fleming College and is divided into four key areas of study: Hospitality; Tourism and Travel; Business; and Technology The school focuses on developing team work and team management skills through classroom learning, intensive applied projects and speciality field placements.

Training Programs

Undergraduate Program

  • Ontario College Advanced Diploma in International Trade (3 years): Fleming College is the only college in Canada that offers you a three-year program in International Trade, rather than an international business program. The emphasis at Fleming is on practical applications used in international trade. You may actually Import or Export goods for sale as part of your training. Your in-class instruction will be first-rate, drawing on the faculty's real-life experience in the field. Professional affiliations with the Canadian International Freight Forwarding Association (CIFFA) and the Canadian Professional Logistics Institute (P. Log) keep the curriculum relevant and up-to-date. The entire 6th semester is an applied project where you will work with an industry client. Experiential learning is the cornerstone of all the business programs. Through extensive, semester-long applied projects for clients, field placements or co-op work placements, Fleming students are able to put to use the skills learned in the classroom within a real-world business environment.
