USCG Approved FSO, CSO, VSO and Security Awareness Training Programs for the Maritime Industry
Founded in 2014 and located at Long Beach CA, Terminal Security Solutions (TSS) is a maritime security services firm providing customer service-focused, manned security solutions coupled with tailored operating procedures, cutting-edge training programs, security equipment and the requisite oversight to operate in today’s heavily-regulated and face-paced cruise, port and cargo terminal industries.
TSS specially trained personnel, integrated screening equipment, training programs, U.S. Coast Guard accredited certification courses and consulting services are exportable to all Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) & International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code regulated facilities and vessels.
Other TSS services include, manned security services tailored specifically for the maritime industry, meeting the stringent federal security and training requirements set forth in the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA); and consulting services to the maritime industry, most of which are directly associated with the requirements set forth in the MTSA and the ISPS Code regulations.
USCG Approved Programs
- Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certification (3 days): This course aims to provide the knowledge to FSO’s necessary for the development, implementation and maintenance of a Facility Security Assessment and Plan.
- Company (CSO) & Vessel Security Officer (VSO/SSO) Certification (3 days): This 3-day course in particular, aims to provide the knowledge to CSO’s and VSO’s necessary for the development, implementation and maintenance of a Vessel/Ship Security Assessment and Plan. Also, the successful completion of this course fulfills the US Coast Guard endorsement required for those mariners performing the duties of VSO/SSO in order to maintain their STCW certification.
- Vessel Security Officer (VSO) Refresher (1 day): Refresher course provides the knowledge required for personnel who are assigned responsibilities as Vessel Security Officer (VSO/SSO) to perform their duties in accordance with 33 CFR 104.215 and ISPS Part A, Sec 12 and maintain their STCW certification.
- Security Awareness for all Facility Personnel (4 hours): The Security Awareness Training for all Facility Personnel (SAFP) course aims to provide the knowledge required to enable personnel without designated security duties, in connection with a Facility Security Plan (FSP), to enhance security in accordance with the requirements of the MTSA, as set forth in 33 CFR 105.225.
