The Trainee Program will provide you with solid and broad shipping knowledge. By joining Maersk Tankers you will supplement this knowledge with specific and particular insight into a tanker business active in 8 segments within five markets. You will be part of a business represented in 7 different countries operating more than 300 vessels and with 3900 employees. As a trainee in Maersk Tankers you will get responsibility from the day you commence. You will be provided with a proper toolkit enabling you to take on a real job through: structured education, combining e-learning; on-the-job training; and, a mentoring program.
- Chartering Trainee: As Chartering Trainee, you will be responsible for fixing vessels and cargos. You are to ensure that the vessels sail with the right cargo: through negotiation of spot and time charter fixtures; and, by monitoring market trends and possible business opportunities. You will have wide interface and daily interaction with operators, shipbrokers and various customers via chat, email and phone.
- Operations Trainee: As an Operations Trainee, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of vessels. You among other things will be: issuing voyage instructions; appoint agents; plan bunkering; make voyage analysis; and handle insurance & legal matters. You will have broad number of stakeholders both internally as well as externally including agents, port captains, ship managers and charterers.
