Bachelor of Engineering (Engineering Systems and Design) - Supply Chain and Logistics Track & MIT SUTD Dual Masters Degree Program in Supply Chain Management
The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is Singapore's fourth autonomous university. Slated to be the first university in the world to integrate the concept of design and innovation as a common thread in research and engineering, SUTD will attract and groom the very best faculty, staff and students to create an environment that will propel SUTD to become an intellectual hub and engine of growth for Singapore, Asia and the world.
The Singapore University of Technology and Design is established in collaboration with MIT to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs. This will be accomplished, with a focus on Design, through an integrated multi-disciplinary curriculum and multi-disciplinary research.
The collaboration with MIT will be multifaceted – the development and offering of curriculum, establishment of a major co-located research center, and recruitment and professional development of SUTD’s university leadership team and faculty.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Engineering Systems and Design) - Supply Chain & Logistics Track (4 years): Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) is a gateway pillar to an exciting career in a broad range of industries - transportation, manufacturing, process industries, telecommunications, healthcare, retail, banking and finance, and many more. The ESD undergraduate program has been designed with flexibility in mind, so that students can customize their courses to suit their interests and future careers. The supply chain and logistics track is concerned with the movement of raw materials into an organization, the internal processing of materials into finished goods, and the distribution of finished goods to the end consumer. This track will cover the design and management of products, information, and financial flows that are associated with supply chains in a wide range of industries.
- PhD in Engineering Systems and Design: The ESD PhD program covers a variety of areas including data science, optimization and machine learning, operations research, algorithmic game theory, economics of a variety of networks (transportation, telecommunications, financial, energy, aviation, water distribution, supply chains, etc), using a rigorous approach. It provides students with a strong technical foundation and puts an emphasis on inter-disciplinary and collaborative research. This is enhanced by experiences in industry, teaching, and international exchange.
