Located in Port Townsend WA, Northwest Maritime Center (NWMC) engages and educate people of all generations in traditional and contemporary maritime life, in a spirit of adventure and discovery. A large boat building and repair facility is one component of the center’s educational programs.

The NWMC is dynamic, growing, and making a difference in the community and taking an increasing role in the region.

NWMC serve individual students and program participants, but also work to help solve community problems like systemic improvements in our public schools, economic development, job training, and working regionally to pair the opportunities in the maritime industry.

They provide adult maritime training programs to improve your boating skills and maritime knowledge with sailing, boatbuilding, navigation, and seamanship classes offered all year long. Build a boat from the ground up, learn how to sail, or build skills for professional maritime trades.
