Founded in 1970 as Cariboo College and became a university in 2005, Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is a public post-secondary and research university and offers over 140 on-campus programs and 60 Open Learning programs including trades apprenticeships, vocational certificates and diplomas, bachelor's and master's degrees. Over 14,000 students study on campus in Kamloops, Williams Lake, or at the regional centers in 100 Mile House, Clearwater, Barriere, Ashcroft, and Lillooet.

TRU’s Kamloops and Williams Lake campuses are located on the traditional territory of the Secwepemc peoples, in British Columbia’s southern interior. TRU is a full member of the Universities Canada, which represents public and private not-for-profit universities and university degree-level colleges nationally. International students count is more than 2,500 and over 10,000 students attend classes throughout the world by distance or online.

Academic & Training Programs


Undergraduate Program

  • BBA in Supply Chain management (4 years): Learn to provide consumers with the right product, at the right place and time, and at the right level of value. Typical job titles include - senior buyer, purchasing manager, corporate procurement manager, director of operations, plant manager, director of materials management, director of transportation and logistics, warehouse manager, vice-president supply chain, director of supply chain management.
  • Admission Requirements: Grade 12 (or equivalent) or Mature Student Status with English 12/English 12 First Peoples 73% (B) & Foundations of Mathematics 12 (or equivalent) 67% (C+)

Postgraduate Program

  • Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Supply Chain Management: Of interest to students who have a non-business degree and want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business. Students with a first degree in business, but who want to change their area of focus, may complete a post-baccalaureate diploma as well.
  • Admission Requirements: Bachelor's degree with Math 12 (or equivalent) with a C+ (67%) & ENGL 1100 (or equivalent) with a C+ and Six credits of university English
