Primary Response offers on-site Training with hands-on practice, online courses which are interactive and engaging, and Blended Training in which you complete the Online training components which is often at least 50% of a regular Onsite class and start practicing new skills in the classroom.

Training Programs




Maritime First Aid Programs

  • Marine Basic First Aid (16 hours): his course in emergency care provides general knowledge of first aid in the marine environment. Candidates are taught how to intervene in life-threatening emergencies including; unconsciousness, choking, rescue breathing, CPR, and deadly bleeding. The course is recommended for mariners pursuing a certificate or endorsement as a Master or Chief Mate, designated first aid attendant on a near costal voyage, class 2 or sheltered waters voyage.
  • Marine Advanced First Aid (32 hours): This course in emergency care provides general knowledge of first aid in the marine environment. Candidates are taught how to intervene in life-threatening emergencies including; unconsciousness, choking, rescue breathing, CPR, and deadly bleeding. Candidates also are introduced to pharmacology and other advanced topics/interventions for the marine industry. The course is recommended for mariners pursuing a certificate or endorsement as a Master or Officers certificate, designated first aid attendant on a near costal voyage, Class 1 or sheltered waters voyage.
  • Marine Medical Care (50 hours): This course in emergency care provides general knowledge of first aid in the marine environment. Candidates are taught how to intervene in life-threatening emergencies including; unconsciousness, choking, rescue breathing, CPR, and deadly bleeding. Candidates also are introduced to pharmacology and other advanced topics/interventions for the marine industry. The course is recommended for person designated to take charge of medical care on board a vessel carrying less than 100 crew members and is engaged on a voyage of a duration of more than three days that is an unlimited voyage or a near coastal voyage, Class 1.
