NOGEPA 2.8 Leader Fire-Fighting and Rescue Team Offshore & Refresher Training for Personnel Designated Firefighting or Rescue Operation Offshore

The Objective of the NOGEPA 2.8 Leader Fire-Fighting and Rescue Team Offshore training is to train the delegate in leading a fire-fighting and rescue team in emergency situations. They are trained in skills relevant to perform their role in a safe and effective way.

After this training they should be able to - divide tasks in firefighting and rescue team, assess the performance of the team, recognize stress in emergency situations, evaluate the firefighting and rescue plan and availability of the team etc.


This is a NOGEPA specialist course and is intended for persons designated to lead a fire-fighting and rescue team at an offshore mining installation.

  • Duration: Basic - 2 days & Refresher - 1.5 days
  • Validity: 2 years
  • Prerequisites: For basic course, the delegate shall be in the possession of a valid registration in the Personal Safety Logbook of the Member Fire-fighting and Rescue team Offshore Course (NOGEPA 2.6 Basic) and at least 1 year experience in an offshore fire-fighting and rescue team. For refresher course, the delegate shall be in the possession of a valid registration in the Personal Safety Logbook of the Leader Fire-fighting and Rescue team Offshore Course (NOGEPA 2.8 Basic)

  • Maintaining adequate communications
