Located in Grapevine, Texas, minutes away from the DFW airport, DFW Maritime Training is a U.S. Coast Guard Approved Training School. Their experience provides the most effective teaching methods to help you learn what you need to know to pass the U.S. Coast Guard tests.
The classes are small, twelve students, to provide a low student to teacher ratio and DFW Maritime administer the U.S. Coast Guard examinations and no further testing is required after completing our course of instruction.

Training Programs
USCG Captains License Courses
- Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vehicles (OUPV/Six-Pack): They provide you with the necessary textbooks, navigation charts, plotting instruments and professional instruction required to prepare you for successful completion of these examinations.
- OUPV Upgrade to Masters License: You must have a OUPV license or OUPV course completion certificate to take the Masters’ Upgrade course.
- Auxiliary Sail Endorsement: An auxiliary sailing endorsement is required if you plan on operating a sailing vessel. U.S. Coast Guard Requirements - OUPV or Masters License.
- Commercial Towing Endorsement: U.S. Coast Guard Requirements - OUPV or Masters License.
