MTC Marine Training Center Hamburg GmbH is one of the largest marine training centers in Europe and provides maritime training for ship crew using state of the art shiphandling, radar, GMDSS, dynamic positioning, engine and Cargo simulators. Training courses are in accordance with STCW 95 and also the latest STCW 2010. The changes are particularly applied to the tanker courses, the ECDIS, bridge resource management and bridge team management courses as well as to the high voltage and engine room management courses.
Furthermore MTC together with MAN Diesel facilitates comprehensive training workshop with all the components available to provide training courses for 2-stroke, 4-stroke engines as well as turbochargers. In addition MTC has also installed a Simulator for GMDSS, a Dynamic Positioning simulator and a liquid cargo simulator for the education of oil and gas tanker crews.
MTC is located in Stellingen, Hamburg which is about 15 minutes from the airport and the city center. The services including accommodation are offered to participants from shipping companies, ship management companies, pilot organizations, VTS operators, research institutes and governmental organizations.
