Training Programs
Maritime Programs in Singapore
- Designated Person Ashore (DPA) (2 days): In this course the participants will be fully prepared to assume the role of DPA. This means providing them with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to implement and maintain the company’s SMS as required by the ISM Code.
- CSO/SSO Refresher Training (1 day): The course provides up-to-date knowledge of legal developments, interpretations and recommendations since the arrival of the ISPS Code and as such fulfils the requirements for CSO/SSO refresher training.
- Practical Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis (2 days): This course is designed for shore and ship staff who want to go deeper into the topic of incident investigation and learn how to apply different methods and tools for root cause analysis.
- Company Security Officer (CSO) (3 days): The course provides participants with the knowledge, understanding and proficiencies as required by the ISPS Code to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as Company Security Officer (CSO).
- Vessel Manager Training (2 days): Upon completion of this course, the participants will have understood the many varied roles and responsibilities of a ship manager and have established a firm foundation of basic ship management skills upon which they can continue to build while on the job.
- Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Management (1 day): The objective of this program is to improve a company’s emergency preparedness and control of one’s own behavior in emergency situations.
- Internal Auditor ISM-ISPS-MLC for Shipping Companies (2 days): The objective of this program is to qualify participants as internal auditors (ISM, ISPS, MLC) enabling them to prepare and conduct internal audits/verifications within their shipping companies in accordance with accepted auditing principles.
- Maritime Risk Management & Incident Investigation - Foundation Course (2 days): This two-day course is designed for shore and ship staff who want to get a better understanding of the principles of risk assessment and how they are related to the tasks of incident investigation.
- Crewing Management (online): The course would focus on providing the staff of the crewing and manning department with in-depth knowledge of the requirements of recruitment and placement of seafarers within an international shipping environment. The trainees would learn about the conventions of IMO and ILO, and their application to the day-to-day activities of the crewing department of a shipping company.
